Ashley MacDonald is a Program Coordinator for Fraser Health. Ashley started her career in healthcare as an administrative assistant for Patient Experience and is now a program coordinator Ashley has a passion for health literacy and plain language. She holds a certificate in Plain language for Simon Fraser University. She works with the Patient Education team to ensure their organizations public facing materials are accessible, culturally safe and trauma informed. As a mom of 3 and wife of someone with a chronic illness, Ashley advocates for clear understandable health information.

Mr. Andy Kwok currently serves as Senior Manager of Quality and Safety at the New Territories West Cluster, Hong Kong Hospital Authority. He is a Chartered Ergonomist and Human Factors Specialist, and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, with over 15 years of experience in healthcare quality and safety. He oversees incident and risk management for the cluster, provides training on patient safety and root cause analysis, and acts as a reviewer for prominent healthcare quality journals. Andy is passionate about innovation, often thinking outside the box to find solutions that enhance work performance and reduce incidents. His work on patient safety has been published in various international journals, showcasing his expertise and contributions to healthcare quality improvement.
Ai Sze Cheryl Goh

Cheryl has a robust background in psychiatric-mental health nursing for the past 22 years. She is an Advanced Practice Nurse who has honed her clinical skills at various psychiatric care units. She has special interest in suicide prevention work and had implementing evidence-based strategies aimed at identifying at-risk individuals and system level changes. In addition to her clinical work, she has presented papers on Impact of a Rehabilitation Program on Mental Health Recovery at international platforms and published paper on violence prediction tools. Her relentless pursuit of continuous improvement, coupled with her clinical leadership to drive clinical initiatives, has positioned her as an enabler in mental health nursing. She is currently leading a workgroup to set future trends of psychiatric nursing model by building a Person-Centered Care (PCC) practice culture to build nurses’ capabilities and mindset in adaptation of PCC.

Helen Bevan is Professor of Practice in Health and Care Improvement at Warwick Business School, England and Senior Fellow of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, USA. She acts as a strategic advisor to many organisations and systems in the English NHS and to leaders and policymakers in health and care systems globally. She is a member of the of ISQua’s International Academy of Quality and Safety in Health Care.
With over three decades of experience as a leader of large scale change, Helen has been instrumental in leading numerous improvement initiatives that have significantly impacted patient care and healthcare systems. President Emerita and Senior Fellow, Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI); USA
Maureen Bisognano, President Emerita and Senior Fellow, Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), previously served as IHI’s President and CEO for five years, after serving as Executive Vice President and COO for 15 years.
She is a prominent authority on improving health care systems, whose expertise has been recognized by her elected membership to the National Academy of Medicine (IOM), among other distinctions. Ms. Bisognano advises health care leaders around the world, is a frequent speaker at major health care conferences on quality improvement and is a tireless advocate for change. She is an Instructor at the Harvard School of Public Health.
She chaired the Advisory Board of the Well Being Trust, co-chairs the Massachusetts Coalition for Serious Illness Care with Dr. Atul Gawande, and serves on the boards of the Commonwealth Fund, Indiana University Health and Nursing Now. Prior to joining IHI, she served as CEO of the Massachusetts Respiratory Hospital and Senior Vice President of The Juran Institute.

Dr. Jonathan B. Perlin is a leading healthcare executive, serving as President and CEO of The Joint Commission Enterprise since 2022. Previously, he was President of Clinical Operations and Chief Medical Officer at HCA Healthcare, where he spearheaded initiatives to improve patient care, including AI-driven sepsis detection and maternal health programs. Earlier, he led the Veterans Health Administration, implementing a national electronic health record system.
He holds faculty positions at Vanderbilt and Virginia Commonwealth University and has served on key federal commissions. Recognized for his impact, he was named among Modern Healthcare’s 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare in 2023.
