As Executive Director of High Reliability Services at The Joint Commission enterprise, Dawn Allbee partners with healthcare executives and thought leaders to advance high reliability practices across healthcare systems. She leads operations for customer engagement and manages the product life cycle of high reliability offerings from Joint Commission Resources (JCR). Dawn specializes in assessing organizational high reliability maturity, strategic planning, and training leaders in trust-building and change management to transform organizational culture. A passionate advocate for Robust Process Improvement® (RPI®), she trains and mentors leadership teams globally, emphasizing the integration of Lean Six Sigma and formal change management to reduce patient harm.

With over 17 years of experience, Dawn has successfully guided multi-disciplinary teams through large-scale change initiatives and cultural transformations. She has led team-building workshops and facilitated cultural assessments to improve safety and resolve internal conflict. Dawn also co-led national efforts to reduce hospitalizations for heart failure patients and enhance safety culture across multiple hospitals.

Certified as a Master Change Agent and Green Belt, Dawn is a frequent global speaker on high reliability and change leadership. Prior to her healthcare work, she held roles in IT project management, software architecture, and education. She holds a master’s degree in communication from Eastern Illinois University.
