Joy is Head Coordinator of ESTHER Network Singapore and Person-Centred Care at SGH Division of Population Health & Integrated Care and Senior Principal Physiotherapist at Singapore General Hospital (SGH). With over 19 years of experience and a passion for person-centred improvement, she serves as the Quality Assurance and Improvement chief at SGH Department of Physiotherapy and serves as a certified SGH Quality Improvement (QI) Coach and ESTHER Coach Faculty member. Since 2019, Joy has been instrumental in spreading the ESTHER philosophy, co-leading the Network’s Education unit and facilitating ESTHER Coach workshops. She developed the QI-ESTHER Workshop for Physiotherapy Residency Program, merging QI and person-centred improvement through ESTHER approach to achieve better patient care and outcomes. Joy’s expertise extends beyond SGH, to train healthcare professionals, allied health undergraduates, and community partners in QI-ESTHER principles. She has coached or facilitated over 60 ESTHER and Improvement projects within Physiotherapy, SGH and across institutions.
