Kian Swan brings a wealth of experience in hospital leadership and has more than 25 years’ experience in a senior management position in both private and public healthcare sectors. With a deep commitment to holistic healing, Kian Swan has played a pivotal role in the design and commissioning of 5 large hospitals in Singapore and two medical centres in Hong Kong. This entails integration of sustainable design principles, green technologies, and eco-friendly practices into hospital infrastructure, striving to create spaces that nurture the health of patients, staff, and the environment. The successful integration of sustainable design elements in these hospitals has yielded several benefits: a substantial reduction in energy and water consumption, minimization of carbon footprint, reduction in operational costs, and most importantly, created an environment that not only promotes the healing of patients but also contributes to the well-being of the planet, embodying the profound connection between human health and environmental sustainability.
