BR1: Patient Advocacy in Asia: Progress, Challenges and the Path Forward

Across Asia, patient advocacy is emerging as a vital force for person-centred care, health equity, and system transformation. This panel convenes leaders and advocates from diverse healthcare contexts to examine the current landscape of patient advocacy in the region. Panellists will reflect on the progress made, the systemic and cultural challenges that persist, and the conditions necessary to support meaningful and sustained patient and public involvement. The discussion will explore ways we could harness untapped potential in patient advocacy leading to innovative solutions that enhance healthcare delivery and outcomes in the region.
