Bernice is a Senior Staff Nurse with a career spanning nearly a decade. After obtaining her nursing license in 2014, she graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing with Honours from SIT in 2018. Throughout her nursing career, she has gained diverse experience in oncology, rehabilitation, agency nursing, and outpatient care. During the COVID-19 endemic in Singapore, Bernice received the Commendation Medal (COVID-19) and the COVID-19 Resilience Medal in recognition of her contributions.


At the core of her practice is a steadfast commitment to patient safety, aligning with her personal and professional values. Driven by a passion for quality improvement, she pursued a Master’s degree in Patient Safety and Healthcare Quality at Duke-NUS in 2023. This advanced education has enhanced her understanding of systemic challenges and empowered her to contribute meaningfully to healthcare transformation.


Currently, Bernice’s role requires her to be actively engaged in patient safety and quality initiatives at her institution’s outpatient clinics. She is eager to leverage her newly acquired knowledge and skills to foster safe healthcare environments for both patients and healthcare workers.
