Ivy Ng

Senior Advisor, SingHealth Board; Singapore

Professor Ivy Ng is Senior Advisor, SingHealth Board. Prior to her appointment as Senior Advisor, she was the Group Chief Executive Officer of SingHealth (2012-2024). She was also previously Chief Executive Officer of KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital (KKH) and Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer of SingHealth.

SingHealth is Singapore’s largest healthcare group and comprises Singapore General Hospital, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Changi General Hospital, Sengkang General Hospital, 5 National Specialty Centres (Cancer, Eye, Neurosciences, Dental and Heart), SingHealth Community Hospitals and 9 primary health polyclinics. SingHealth has also been charged to develop Eastern General Hospital.

She was conferred the National Day Award Public Administration Medal (Gold) (Bar) 2024, President’s Science & Technology Medal 2021, National University of Singapore (NUS) University Outstanding Service Award 2020, NTUC May Day Medal of Commendation (Gold) Award 2020, Her World Woman of the Year 2012, Public Administration Medal (Gold) 2011, International Management Action Award 2010 and Singapore Human Resource Institute Leading CEO Award 2008. She is Chair of the KKH Fund Committee and member of the Boards of SingHealth Fund, Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore Management University, Temasek Trust, National Research Foundation (NRF) Singapore and Precise Health Research Singapore (PRECISE) Board Oversight Committee (BOC).

She holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Master of Medicine (Paediatrics) from the National University of Singapore. Helen Bevan OBE

Professor of Practice in Health and Care Improvement, Warwick Business School and Senior Fellow, Institute for Healthcare Improvement; England

Helen Bevan is Professor of Practice in Health and Care Improvement at Warwick Business School, England and Senior Fellow of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, USA. She acts as a strategic advisor to many organisations and systems in the English NHS and to leaders and policymakers in health and care systems globally. She is a member of the of ISQua’s International Academy of Quality and Safety in Health Care.

With over three decades of experience as a leader of large scale change, Helen has been instrumental in leading numerous improvement initiatives that have significantly impacted patient care and healthcare systems. Early in her career, she led the Leicester Royal Improvement Re-engineering Programme, which won the Hewlett Packard Golden Helix Award for the best healthcare innovation initiative in Europe. Helen has also been a national leader in the NHS, spearheading projects like the Cancer Services Collaborative and the 10 High Impact Changes for Service Improvement and Delivery. Her contributions have earned her numerous accolades, including being named an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for Services to Healthcare.

Helen is known for her innovative approach to change, blending new ideas with a deep understanding of complex systems. Her work has been featured in various publications, including the Harvard Business Review and best-selling books like “Humanocracy: how to create an organisation as amazing as the people in it” and “New Power.” Helen is one of the top social influencers in healthcare leadership globally, with more than three million interactions each month through her thought leadership social media activities, virtual presentations, commentaries and blogs.

Jonathan Perlin

President and CEO, Joint Commission International; USA 

Dr. Jonathan B. Perlin is a leading healthcare executive, serving as President and CEO of The Joint Commission Enterprise since 2022. Previously, he was President of Clinical Operations and Chief Medical Officer at HCA Healthcare, where he spearheaded initiatives to improve patient care, including AI-driven sepsis detection and maternal health programs. Earlier, he led the Veterans Health Administration, implementing a national electronic health record system. 

He holds faculty positions at Vanderbilt and Virginia Commonwealth University and has served on key federal commissions. Recognized for his impact, he was named among Modern Healthcare’s 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare in 2023.

Maureen Bisognano

President Emerita and Senior Fellow, Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI); USA

Maureen Bisognano, President Emerita and Senior Fellow, Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), previously served as IHI’s President and CEO for five years, after serving as Executive Vice President and COO for 15 years.

She is a prominent authority on improving health care systems, whose expertise has been recognized by her elected membership to the National Academy of Medicine (IOM), among other distinctions. Ms. Bisognano advises health care leaders around the world, is a frequent speaker at major health care conferences on quality improvement and is a tireless advocate for change. She is an Instructor at the Harvard School of Public Health.

She chaired the Advisory Board of the Well Being Trust, co-chairs the Massachusetts Coalition for Serious Illness Care with Dr. Atul Gawande, and serves on the boards of the Commonwealth Fund, Indiana University Health and Nursing Now. Prior to joining IHI, she served as CEO of the Massachusetts Respiratory Hospital and Senior Vice President of The Juran Institute.

Steve Davis

President & CEO, Cincinnati Children’s; USA

Dr. Steve Davis, MD, MMM, is the president and CEO of Cincinnati Children’s, ranked the No. 1 pediatric health system in the U.S. for 2023-24. Since joining in 2015 and becoming CEO in 2021, he has led major initiatives, including a $600M Critical Care Building and a $60M Applied Gene and Cell Therapy Center. Under his leadership, Cincinnati Children’s has expanded specialty care, research, and telehealth services. A pediatric critical care physician, Dr. Davis previously held leadership roles at Cleveland Clinic. He holds multiple degrees and actively contributes to pediatric healthcare advancements, patient safety, and leadership education.

Ai Sze, Cheryl Goh

Institute of Mental Health; Singapore

Cheryl has a robust background in psychiatric-mental health nursing for the past 22 years. She is an Advanced Practice Nurse who has honed her clinical skills at various psychiatric care units. She has special interest in suicide prevention work and had implementing evidence-based strategies aimed at identifying at-risk individuals and system level changes. In addition to her clinical work, she has presented papers on Impact of a Rehabilitation Program on Mental Health Recovery at international platforms and published paper on violence prediction tools. Her relentless pursuit of continuous improvement, coupled with her clinical leadership to drive clinical initiatives, has positioned her as an enabler in mental health nursing. She is currently leading a workgroup to set future trends of psychiatric nursing model by building a Person-Centered Care (PCC) practice culture to build nurses’ capabilities and mindset in adaptation of PCC.

I am a chartered ergonomist and human factors specialist and have been working in the quality and safety field for more than 15 years. My major duty is about incident and risk management. I have a strong interest in studying the design of different products, software programmes, environment and workflows to think about solutions to improve human performance and minimise clinical incidents. In the past years, I have published 5 journals related to root cause analysis, fall prevention and COVID-19 management.

Ashley MacDonald is a Program Coordinator for Fraser Health. Ashley started her career in healthcare as an administrative assistant for Patient Experience and is now a program coordinator Ashley has a passion for health literacy and plain language. She holds a certificate in Plain language for Simon Fraser University. She works with the Patient Education team to ensure their organizations public facing materials are accessible, culturally safe and trauma informed. As a mom of 3 and wife of someone with a chronic illness, Ashley advocates for clear understandable health information.

Bob Lloyd

Vice President, Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI); USA

Dr. Robert Lloyd is Executive Director of Performance Improvement for the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI). Dr. Lloyd provides leadership in the areas of performance improvement strategies, statistical process control methods, development of strategic dashboards and quality improvement training. He also serves as lead faculty for various IHI initiatives and demonstration projects in the US, the UK, Sweden, Denmark, New Zealand, Qatar, Dubai and Africa. Before joining the IHI, Dr. Lloyd served as the Corporate Director of Quality Resource Services for Advocate Health Care (Oak Brook, IL). He also served as Senior Director of Quality Measurement for Lutheran General Health System (Park Ridge, IL), directed the American Hospital Association’s Quality Measurement and Management Project (QMMP) and served in various leadership roles at the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania State University awarded all three of Dr. Lloyd’s degrees. His undergraduate degree is in sociology, his master’s degree is in regional planning and his doctorate is in rural sociology.

Dr. Lloyd has addressed over 1,200 national and international meetings of professional groups and associations. Over 150,000 participants from this country and abroad have attended his classes and presentations on quality improvement. He has served as faculty for the Harvard School of Public Health, the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Society for Quality (ASQ), the University of Wisconsin’s graduate program in Administrative Medicine, the University of Chicago’s graduate Program in Health Administration, the Healthcare Forum, the International Quality and Productivity Center, the American Health Information Management Association, the JCAHO, the Group Practice Improvement Network, the Ontario Hospital Association, the Vancouver BC Quality Forum, the Medical Group Management Association, the BMJ European Quality Forum (London, Barcelona, Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris), and numerous QIOs around the US. Dr. Lloyd has also presented his seminars on statistical thinking to physicians and administrators from the Federation of County Councils in Stockholm and Jonkoping, Sweden, to leaders of the National Health Service throughout the United Kingdom and New Zealand, and to patient safety leaders throughout Denmark, South Africa and Ghana.

He has published numerous articles, chapters and reports on a wide range of topics including CQI theory and implementation, measurement and statistical methods, clinical outcomes, customer satisfaction, information systems and parish nursing.

Dr. Lloyd is co-author of the internationally acclaimed book, Measuring Quality Improvement in Healthcare: A Guide to Statistical Process Control Applications (American Society for Quality Press, 2001, 5th printing). His most recent book, Quality Health Care: A Guide to Developing and Using Indicators was published in March of 2004 by Jones and Bartlett (Sudbury, MA)

Catherine is the Program Manager Clinical Best Practice at the Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group (FSFHG). In this role, she oversees the Hospital Acquired Complications Reduction Program, the FSFHG Annual IMPROVE Conference, and the SMHS Clinical Documentation Improvement Program. With 23+ years of healthcare experience, Catherine is a staunch advocate for knowledge translation, quality improvement, and evidence-based care. She leads organisational changes to enhance patient safety, promoting data-driven, multidisciplinary teamwork for healthcare quality improvement.

Chan Lai Gwen

Tan Tock Seng Hospital; Singapore

Adj Asst Prof Chan Lai Gwen graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2001, with certifications in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry. At Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), she specializes in treating patients with psychiatric conditions related to stroke, brain injury, and Parkinson’s Disease. In addition to her clinical role, she serves as the Chair of the TTSH Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) Sub-Committee, where she leads the implementation of PROMs hospital wide. Prof Chan also develop the framework and methodology that guide the integration of PROMs into clinical practice, which includes oversees the planning, monitoring, and evaluation of the effectiveness of PROMs.

Chen Yongsheng

Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH); Singapore

Adj A/Prof Chen Yongsheng is a Consultant Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and National University Hospital in Singapore. After completing medical school at NUS in 2008, he underwent orthopaedic residency training and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2017. Through the prestigious HMDP and AOTrauma fellowships, he received specialised training in complex orthopaedic trauma at Royal Melbourne Hospital in Australia and across hospitals in Thailand. As an AO Foundation faculty member, he teaches courses internationally on trauma and deformity correction. At NUS, he leads undergraduate medical education and has received multiple teaching awards. He has presented at conferences worldwide and authored over 20 publications. He underwent the human factors programme on incident investigation with Medled UK and lead the development of the training curriculum at JurongHealth Campus.

Danna Qunibi

Danna W. Qunibi, MD, MBOE, is a distinguished healthcare leader who uniquely combines clinical expertise with lean six sigma proficiency. As the current Chief Operational Excellence Officer at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/Children’s Health in Dallas, TX, Dr. Qunibi spearheads strategic initiatives to optimize patient flow and enhance operational efficiency across the healthcare system. Dr. Qunibi’s career is distinguished by her unwavering commitment to identifying and addressing inefficiencies in hospital operations at the ground level. Professor Tai is an endocrinologist who has previously served as head of the D0vision of Endocrinology and director of the NUHS centre of excellence for Chronic Disease Prevention and Management. He has served on the committee of numerous clinical practice guideline and currently co-chairs the Person Centred Care Implementation Workgroup at the Ministry of Health, Singapore. He is passionate about creating opportunities for patients to co-create their health journey as they live with chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes.

Emmanuel Sendaula

Reach Out Mbuya Community Health Initiative; Uganda

Sendaula Emmanuel is a clinical epidemiologist and Monitoring and Evaluation specialist with over a decade of hands-on experience in HIV programming, as well as expertise in broader public health roles. His expertise lies in the design, implementation, and evaluation of public health interventions aimed at improving health outcomes, particularly in HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment. With a strong foundation in epidemiology, Sendaula has been instrumental in leading various initiatives that have significantly contributed to the fight against HIV/AIDS in Uganda.

Ermin Rachmawati

Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang; Uganda

I decided to follow my passion as a professional lecturer at Faculty of Medicine Lampung University in 2008 and the moved to Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences UIN Malang in 2016. Since 2017, I serve as the head of the curriculum unit, one of whose visions is on being a national haj centre. I am an active member of Indonesian Hajj Health Professional Association and have been invited as a speaker related to the development of the hajj health curriculum. I believe to solve health problems; we need to collaborate. Therefore, I was initiated to lead the establishment of HIPE course where interprofessional team coming from various fields works together to manage the hajj pilgrimages prospectives. My works can be recognized through publications and presentation in national and international journals and conferences. Hopefully, my work continues to pave the way for advancements in striving to achieve SDG goal in the health sector.

Eugene Liu

National University Health System; Singapore

Associate Professor Eugene Liu is the Chief Sustainability Officer of the National University Health System (NUHS), working on NUHS’ environmental sustainability goals. He is concurrently the Group Director of Strategic Facilities Planning, NUHS, leading the work to redevelop the National University Hospital. An anaesthetist by training, Eugene is a Senior Consultant in the NUH Department of Anaesthesia. Eugene is NUH’s immediate past CEO. He oversaw the development of NUH’s “peaks of excellence” in complex tertiary care that define NUH as an academic medical centre, and implementation of value-based care, risk management and emergency preparedness in NUH. He led the planning for the redevelopment of NUH and Kent Ridge Campus; and led NUH’s response at the outbreak of COVID. Eugene served previously as Head of the Department of Anaesthesia, NUH and NUS, overseeing a large growth in anaesthesia services and implementation of the residency training system. He also served as Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and International Relations, NUS School of Medicine.

Eunice Wong

National Improvement Unit, MOH Office for Healthcare Transformation; Singapore

Eunice is the Head of the National Improvement Unit at MOHT. It is a national unit set up by MOH to drive value creation for patients through continuous and scalable quality improvement (QI). In this role, Eunice leads the development of collaborative learning networks with healthcare clusters, public healthcare institutions, primary care networks and ILTC stakeholders to identify changes and metrics of success followed by small-scale tests of change to understand and describe the local implementation context before scaling. Eunice has previously held various roles in healthcare systems in Singapore, Australia, Sweden and United Kingdom. Her more recent work involves the design of new care models and large-scale implementation of community mental health care programmes in Singapore and application of behavioural science research to the development and implementation of patient-centred care initiatives in Victoria, Australia.

Gerald Chua

Senior Consultant, Department of Medicine, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH); Singapore

Dr Gerald Chua was formerly the Chairman, Medical Board of Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. He is a Senior Consultant in Internal Medicine, Respiratory Medicine and Intensive Care Medicine and a Clinical Associate Professor appointed by NUS School of Medicine.

His educational interests are in crisis resource management in acute care, medical professionalism and cognitive error in clinical decision making.

In 2024 Dr Chua was awarded the Outstanding Clinician Educator Award at the National Medical Excellence Awards (Singapore).

For over 25 years of service to public healthcare he was conferred the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) in 2020. For significant leadership and outstanding contributions during Singapore’s fight against COVID-19, he was conferred the Public Administration Medal (Gold) (COVID-19) in 2022 and the COVID-19 Resilience Medal in 2023.

Hadeel is a senior pharmacist prescriber in the UK with experience in both hospital and general practice settings. She is currently in her final year of a PhD at The University of Bradford. As a portfolio pharmacist, Hadeel works for a GP Federation in Leeds and is Polypharmacy Clinical Lead for Yorkshire & Humber Health Innovation Network. She champions advancing pharmacy research through her roles as committee member of the Primary Care Academic Collaborative (PACT), Research Lead for the Primary Care Pharmacy Association (PCPA), and co-chair of the West Yorkshire Pharmacy Research Network.

Hasyirul Hashim

Trained in Malaysia, Edinburgh, and Harvard, Dr. Hasyirul weaves a rich tapestry of medical expertise in internal medicine. Hayley Chau

Tan Tock Seng Hospital Pte Ltd, National Healthcare Group; Singapore

Hayley leads the clinical operations of the TTSH Integrated Care Hub, the inpatient rehabilitation pillar in HealthCity Novena with more than 500 beds that provides a suite of comprehensive rehabilitation programs to bridge patients from the hospital to home. She also provides strategic operational leadership for the TTSH@Home service, an innovative program that extends inpatient care into patients’ own home with short term management of acute conditions. In addition, she works with multiple stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams, both internal and external, on the Tan Tock Seng Hospital discharge management matters to improve the right-siting of inpatients and ensures seamless patient flow.

Helen Crowther

Blacktown Mt Druitt Hospital; Australia

Helen Crowther is medical advisor for quality and safety at BMDH, as well as Medical Head of Department, Haematology. She has an interest in system wide solutions to patient quality and safety and has a Masters degree in health services management, a PhD in ethics of medical decision making and evidence integration, and Fellowships with both the RACP and RCPA.

Hisashi Takeuchi

Japan Society of Advanced Medical Sciences; Japan

Hisashi Takeuchi is currently a Department Chair in Department of Urology at Shinmatsudo Central General Hospital and the president of the Japan Society of Advanced Medical Sciences in Japan. He received a M.D at Tokyo Medical University, Japan, in 2004. After a residency in urology, he obtained a Ph.D from the Tokyo Medical University. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Ashish M Kamat at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (TX, USA). He became an Assistant Professor of Urology at the Tokyo Medical University, Japan, in 2016. As a urologist, he has been practicing urology. In surgery, he specializes in endourology and robotic surgery. He serves as the president of the Japan Society of Advanced Medical Sciences, and in that role he is committed to improving the safety, the quality of medical care, and even medical ethics of advanced medical sciences.

Hui Ling Tan

Tan Tock Seng Hospital; Singapore

Dr Tan is an anaesthetist and intensivist by training, who has worked in Singapore, Australia and the United Kingdom. Since 2000, Dr Tan has been working in Tan Tock Seng Hospital. In addition to her clinical duties in the operating theatre and the intensive care unit, she has held several administrative portfolios including Director of the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit and Chairperson of the Intensive Care Committee which oversees the integration of clinical processes and practice of all the intensive care units in the hospital, as well as establishing practice standards, quality improvement and strengthening training in Intensive Care Medicine. As the clinical lead for Quality and Patient Safety, she has a strong interest in promoting proactive response to medical errors and establishing a dynamic and robust ecosystem for quality improvement and patient safety at Tan Tock Seng, working with partners in Singapore and the world.

James Campbell

Eastern Health; Australia

An experienced healthcare leader, James is passionate about system design that promotes high quality, timely care outside the hospital walls. After starting his career as a clinical neuropsychologist, he transitioned to roles focused system redesign and improvement and brings that lens to his current role as Operations Director for Care@Home and Acute Specialist Clinics.

Jansen Koh

Jay Tan

Wee Kiat (Jay) is a human-centered design practitioner, researcher, facilitator and educator. In his two decades of career, as an internal design expert and external consultant, he had helping small to medium and large MNCs in various industries, such as consumer electronics, healthtech, finance and insur-tech, to understand and innovate for their customers. Along the way, he had scored some design awards and patents. Now on a mission to create healthcare impact by design at National University Hospital (NUH), among many initiatives, he has helped develop a mixed-method quality improvement framework integrating the best of Lean, Design Thinking, Behavioral Insights and Service Design, launch a new design capability-building course for the NUHS cluster and NUH service tools, enabling the institution to innovate and address complex healthcare challenges from both process and service experience angles.

Jia Yee Andrea Chan

Ms Andrea Chan is the volunteer programme lead for Health Peers, a peer support programme. The programme aims to encourage residents to make positive health-related and lifestyle choices to provide support for seniors in the community to better manage chronic disease management and to help them improve their health and wellbeing. Andrea is passionate about volunteerism and preventive health to empower more residents in the community to stay healthy.

Jishana Farhad Abdul Naseer

John Abisheganaden

Tan Tock Seng Hospital; Singapore

Professor Abisheganaden is Chief, Health Services Outcomes Research (HSOR) for the NHG and a Senior Consultant Respiratory Physician at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), Singapore. He is the Medical lead for VBHC for the NHG cluster. He has been active in promoting Respiratory Health initiatives Nationally, and for the cluster and institution for more than 2 decades. He is well published, with over 100 peer reviewed publications on PubMed and an H-index of 28.

Jose M Valderas

National University Health System; Singapore

I am an Academic General Practitioner. I am currently Professor of Medicine at the National University of Singapore, and Head of the Department of Family Medicine at the National University Health System. I have worked as a General Practitioner in the UK, Spain and in a variety of environments, including developing countries for very brief periods, and I am proud to have been awarded a Clinical Excellence Award for my contributions to the development of the National Health Service. Dr Tan Bee Hua Michelle completed her undergraduate medical studies at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and trained in Anaesthesiology under the SingHealth Residency Programme. Dr Neelam Dhingra is Vice President and Chief Patient Safety Officer for Joint Commission International (JCI). Dr Dhingra leads JCI global efforts in providing strategic leadership on patient safety and promotes all aspects of JCI’s patient safety activities internationally and has also been appointed Honorary Senior Faculty of IPSQ, Singapore and a Life Member of ISQua’s Academy of Quality and Safety. Nhung Le enjoyed her roles as a hospital management consultant, invited professor, and tele-health manager during her tenure as a manager at the Center of Pediatric Healthcare Activities Directives in Vietnam National Children’s Hospital. In early 2018, she decided to take on a new challenge by transitioning to a position as a facilitator lead, responsible for implementing the CME/CPD online program in Pediatrics in Northern Vietnam.

Over five years, Nhung Le developed professionally as a project manager, focusing on training and capacity-building for pediatric healthcare providers across 28 provinces in Northern Vietnam through governmental policies and non-governmental projects. With a strong commitment to patient and community welfare, she contributed to the design of educational activities, including online multidisciplinary discussions, e-learning courses via the Tele-health system, and the establishment of learning communities in fields such as cancer and autism.

Some of her most significant contributions as a center manager included developing project strategies, facilitating, and implementing initiatives related to community healthcare and CME/CPD education. In October 2024, she was appointed as an invited professor at Shangluo Vocational and Technical College, where she shared insights and achievements from tele-health projects aimed at enhancing pediatric healthcare providers’ capabilities for the benefit of patients and the broader community.

Ms Rosidah Idris has spent almost four decades of in nursing. In 1989, she received sponsorship for Advance Diploma (OT) and HMDP award from KKWCH for CTV Nursing, Australia. She moved to Parkway Healthcare Group and trained as TTT in Crisis Resource Management by Monash University. Ms Rosidah Idris joined JurongHealth Services in 2010 to set up and oversee the Endoscopy Centre. She was conferred the Humanitarian Award in 2013 and awarded the Nurse Merit Award in 2017. She had joined JHC Nursing Informatics team in 2022. She participated many IT Tech Refresh activities that impact nursing work-process. She is the nursing lead for VitalScout project that enhances nursing efficiency and productivity; continuous vital signs monitoring for high-risk patients in General Wards. Sabrina Haroon

Dr. Sabrina Haroon is a Senior Consultant in the Division of Nephrology and serves as the Medical Director of both the Inpatient Dialysis Center and the Outpatient High Dependency Renal Center at the National University Hospital in Singapore. She has completed her fellowship training in high-risk dialysis at the Royal Free Hospital and holds a Master of Applied Science in Patient Safety and Healthcare Quality. A passionate advocate for patient safety, Dr. Haroon is deeply engaged in pioneering quality improvement initiatives in dialysis units, making significant contributions both nationally and internationally. She has been awarded a grant to launch Singapore’s first national home hemodialysis program, a transformative initiative supported by the Ministry of Health. The task force’s main task is to coordinate with various stakeholders such as the Ministry of Health, other professional organizations, primary and referral health facilities, and non-government organizations, especially concerning infant and child mortality. One of the programs implemented is a national audit of neonatal, infant, and toddler deaths involving ten provinces in Indonesia, as well as joint coordination during the tragedy of acute kidney failure due to ethylene glycol/diethyl glycol poisoning in Indonesia.

Tung Yew Cheong

National Healthcare Group (NHG); Singapore

Dr. Tung is a clinician administrator who has been practicing Family Medicine since year 2000. He has held several administrative positions in NHGP, including Heads of different polyclinics, Deputy Director of Clinical Services and Director of Quality & Patient Safety. Currently he is the Group Chief Quality Officer, National Healthcare Group. He has led, participated, and mentored numerous teams in quality improvement work, including Lean 3Ps, Value Stream Maps and Clinical Practice Improvement Programmes (CPIPs). He also serves as faculty for quality improvement and patient safety training programmes. He has completed the LEAN Black Belt Programme conducted by the Medical LEAN Institute Simpler Healthcare, Denver Health, University of Denver, Colorado in 2008 and the IHI Improvement Advisor Programme in 2023.

Wee Hwee Lin

Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore; Singapore

Associate Professor Wee Hwee Lin is Director of the Centre for Health Intervention and Policy Evaluation Research (HIPER) based in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health at the National University of Singapore. HIPER develops capacity in health technology assessments in ASEAN through short courses and project mentoring. She is a member of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research Health Sciences Policy Council, the International Editorial Advisory Board for Journal of Patient Reported Outcomes, and the National Advisory Committee on Cancer in Singapore. A/P Wee’s current work focuses on the use of real world evidence in health technology assessments, particularly for precision medicine and population-based cancer screening.

Wong Moh Sim

Senior Consultant, Laboratory Medicine, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, National Healthcare Group (NHG); Singapore

Dr Wong Moh Sim is Senior Consultant Chemical Pathologist at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH). She holds the concurrent position of Deputy Group Chief Quality Officer, NHG and Director, Institute of Healthcare Quality (IHQ).

She serves on various committees in laboratory medicine and quality assurance. Her clinical interest is diabetes mellitus and she see patients in diabetes clinic.

She was formerly Deputy Chairman Medical Board (Clinical Quality) and Director (Clinical Services) at KTPH and was involved in many patient safety and clinical quality (PSQI) initiatives at both hospital and cluster level. As Director, IHQ, she works closely with her team to plan and conduct PSQI workshops for NHG staff and external parties.

Yan Jun Ng

Ng Teng Fong General Hospital; Singapore

Yan Jun is currently the Lead Process & Innovation Specialist at JurongHealth Campus (JHC), a position that he held since 2018. With a cumulative decade of healthcare experience, Yan Jun developed strategies to build Quality Improvement (QI) capacity and capability, designed QI training curriculum and continuously promote quality improvement culture in JHC. Yan Jun’s expertise in the Model for Improvement, Lean Six Sigma and Design Thinking was instrumental to tackle complex hospital issues and drive system-level changes through organisation-wide QI projects. His contributions extend beyond JurongHealth, collaborating with fellow improvers at NUHS cluster level and serving as CHI Learning & Development Knowledge Ambassador, impacting healthcare improvement and productivity on a broader scale. His collaborative approach and dedication to empower colleagues with essential QI skills has become a driving force in advancing healthcare quality improvement
