Paulo Sousa is Professor at the National School of Public Health, Universidade Nova de Lisboa (NSPH-UNL), where he also coordinates the Master in Public Health, and the International Course in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (a joint Programme with NSPH in Brazil). In the last years, he has been involved and has coordinated several initiatives and research projects in the area of Quality Improvement, Patient Safety and Health Outcomes evaluation. He is the author of dozens of chapters in books and articles published in peer-review national and international journals. He collaborates with several international organisations in the area of QI and PS, namely IHI, WHO, and ISQua.
