Alex de Groot is father of two boys both of whom are patients at the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital in Utrecht. During a long-term admission of one of his children, Alex was asked to participate in the Parental Advisory project. He helped develop the project and has a role in presenting and interpreting parents’ interviews and discussing them with students. In daily life, Alex works at a government agency.
