Mike Fairbourn is Vice President & General Manager of UK & Ireland for Becton Dickinson (BD), a leading global medical technology company and he is responsible for leading the UKI organisation for all BD businesses, comprising the Life Sciences, Medical and Interventional segments. He has been a member of the ABHI Board since 2016.

Mike has held senior leadership roles in pharmaceutical and healthcare technology sectors in the UK and international markets. His key areas of expertise are in diagnostics, medication management, healthcare acquired infections, interventional and digital technologies. Mike has led start-up organisations in the service and pharmaceutical sectors as well as large global health technology organisations.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and Biochemistry from the University of Reading. Interests outside work include golf, garden and gourmet, and he is an avid follower of rugby and cricket.
