Elinore Macgillivray



Senior Improvement Manager, 1000 Lives Improvement Service; Wales

Elinore studied and trained at Bournemouth University, qualifying as a midwife in 2001. She began her career working at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, taking a particular interest in the management of high risk pregnancy and birth.

Elinore moved to South Wales in 2007, where she worked within a variety of roles including maternity unit coordinator, training and education for medical students, and supporting clinicians in the development of local clinical guidelines.

In December 2016, Elinore was appointed as the midwifery lead for OBS Cymru, supporting the implementation of a national quality improvement programme to reduce harm from postpartum haemorrhage. Elinore is currently a Senior Improvement Manager with 1000 Lives Improvement Service, working with maternity services across Wales to support continuous improvement.
