Janet Anderson is a human factors psychologist with clinical experience and a high-profile research programme in health care quality improvement. Her research is multi-disciplinary, draws on psychological and organisational theories and knowledge and is focused on designing systems to support safe human activity. Her expertise is evidenced by many invited national presentations and advisory activities, including to the UK Parliamentary and Scientific Committee, and internationally in, for example, Scotland, Norway, Sweden, France, and Australia. She is recognised for specialist expertise in the theory and practice of organisational resilience and is Director of the Centre for Applied Resilience in Healthcare.
