Graduated in Law at the University of Milan, Giulio Gallera is a lawyer, founder and owner of a law firm in Milan specializing in corporate and commercial law. From 29 June 2016 he is Ministry for Welfare of the Lombardy Region, reconfirmed in the same role last April 2018. He was Assessor of Autonomy, Social Fragility, Volunteering, Associations and the Third Sector, Conciliation and Equal Opportunities. Previously he was Undersecretary of the Lombardy Region to the Relations with the Metropolitan City and to the coordination of special projects related to the same territory, Regional Councilor of Lombardy and President of the Special Commission for the reorganization of Local Autonomies. He has always been active in Milan, the city at the center of his political and administrative experience: he was part of the Milan City Council from 1997 to 2016.
