E1: Medicine in Ukraine at war: keeping resilience while delivering emergency disaster response

Wednesday 22 June 2022 | 1315 – 1430

Format: Presentation

Stream: Building Capability and Leadership

Over the past few months, healthcare workers across Ukraine have worked tirelessly to deliver evidence-based and patient-centred medical care amidst the humanitarian crisis caused by the Russian invasion.

In this session, four Ukrainian doctors from different contexts will demonstrate how they have united their efforts to offer the best care for their patients.

You’ll hear examples of the continuation of family practice, care for refugees, collecting and distributing humanitarian aid, providing Casualty Care Training, working as a volunteer, and how they have used different methods such as videoblogs to scale and spread their ideas.
