In-person and online attendance at Brisbane 2024

You can attend the International Forum in Brisbane either in-person or online.

The online programme spans over all 3 days of the International Forum (6-8 November 2024). It will include selected sessions, including keynotes that will be live-streamed from the venue in Brisbane, plus brand-new online-only workshops. Registration for online attendance will open in August 2024, when we will also release the full programme for online attendees.

All in-person registrations will automatically receive access to the online programme.

Our individual and group rates are applicable to all delegates, with special discounts for:

  • Students in full-time education

All our prices are in AUD and are inclusive of GST at 10%.

All bookings should be made online and are payable by credit/debit card or cheque. If you wish to pay by cheque please contact events@bmj.com. We can only issue invoices for groups of five or more people from the same organisation.

Our theme in Brisbane: Pushing boundaries

This year’s Brisbane programme, themed Pushing Boundaries, aims to inspire the pursuit and adoption of innovative ideas in healthcare quality and safety. We will look for innovative solutions to complex challenges and explore how innovation can respond to solve or further challenge these.

Consumer Funded Places and Funding

Group bookings

Groups attending in person can save between 10% and 15% on individual delegate rates and accelerate their learning as a team. Booking as part of a group does not only allow you to save on your delegate fees but also gives an opportunity to maximise your experience and your organisation’s exposure at the International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare.

  • Group savings apply when a minimum of 5 or more individuals from the same organisation register at the same time
  • Group bookings are available for the 2-day (Thursday 7 November – Friday 8 November 2024) or the 3-day (Wednesday 6 – Friday 8 November 2024) packages only and must be made online.

Student Discounted Places

We are offering special discounts for students in full-time education to attend the International Forum. These will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

These discounts are applicable to our three main conference days registration fees only and are not applicable for travel, accommodation or other costs associated with attending the conference.

Early Bird rates are not available for our special discount packages.

To apply for the discounted student places, please send one of the following to Marina Antanasiotis at mantanasiotis@bmj.com:

  • A copy of your student card which clearly displays the date of validity in numerical form
  • An official letter issued by the Dean of your university confirming you will be in full-time education at the time of the conference you are booking (6 – 8 November 2024)
  • If your application is successful, you will be provided with further instructions on how to register with our student rates. 

Lower-Middle-Income and Low-Income Countries rates

We do have a limited number of places for delegates who are residents of and working in Low-Income and Lower-Middle-Income countries to attend the International Forum for the two or three-day conference at a reduced registration rate. Only delegates from Low-Income (LICs) and Lower-Middle-Income (LMCs) countries qualify for our discounted rates. Please check the World Bank country classification to see if you are eligible.

Please note that these discounts are applicable to our standard individual registration fees only and are not applicable for travel, accommodation or other costs associated with attending the International Forum.

Early Bird rates are not available for our special discount packages.

How to register: There is no application process. When registering, please select to register as a delegate and enter your full address on the booking details page as this will be used to verify your registration.

The discounted rate will be automatically applied when you choose a country listed as LMC or LIC on the World Bank country classification list while filling in your personal details.

As allocated places are limited, discounts will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. You may be contacted to provide proof of residency.
