M2: Fundamentals of Quality Improvement

Wednesday 18th September 2019
09:00am-12:30pm

If you could get into the brains of some of the most experienced healthcare improvement leaders globally and hear their expertise on making improvement happen, what would they tell you? Goran Henriks and Helen Bevan are internal change agents in health and care systems in Sweden and England. Together, they have 70 years’ experience in leading improvement in health and care, having led some of the biggest and most impactful quality improvement initiatives in their countries.

This is not a workshop about only preaching or teaching theory or principles of healthcare improvement (although they will cover both theory and principles). This will become a practical workshop about the most fundamental and important things they have learnt and would love to share with you. Join the workshop if you want to understand the full range of factors that are fundamental in making health and care improvement happen.

After this workshop, participants will:

  • Understand WHY quality improvement is important to everyone who works in health and care.

  • Appreciate WHAT the different dimensions of quality and the aims of health and care improvement are.

  • Know HOW to go about improvement in their own setting.
