Prof. Wang is a physician board-certified in internal medicine and occupational medicine. He received his Sc.D. degree from Harvard School of Public Health in 1982, documented more than 20 different occupational and environmental diseases, and established the specialty board of occupational medicine for Taiwan. To tackle the issue of population aging and financial challenge of the National Health Insurance, his team have developed methods to quantify lifetime costs and health benefits for cost-effectiveness assessment of preventive, clinical, rehabilitative and alternative medicines. He has published more than 475 peer-reviewed articles.
