Dr. Lin is a world-renowned scientist, currently working as a Professor at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering. He also holds the position of Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Applied Mechanics and Director of NTU-ITRI Nano Center in National Taiwan University. He received his Ph.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1993. His research interests include biomedical micro sensors, optical biochip, surface plasmon resonance, bioplasmonics, nanomedicine, and personal e-health systems. His achievements have been recognized by prestigious honors including Permanent Member of CBME 87-88, IEEE Member, President of Association of Chemical Sensors in Taiwan (ACST) (2008-2010), and ICS Chairman of Asian Conference in Chemical Sensors (ACCS) (2013-2017).
