Minara Chowdhury is a Senior Director for Global Delivery with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. A healthcare professional with over 20 years’ experience in healthcare operational management, quality improvement and change management. She worked with the NHS for 7 years before taking up an exciting opportunity to work in Qatar and led various improvement initiatives. In 2018, Minara commenced work with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and commenced work in Bangladesh on a USAID funded project to improve the Quality of Care for maternal and newborn services in 17 Districts. Minara has expertise in working on Global projects and has managed healthcare improvement projects in Africa, the Middle East, South and Southeast Asia. She is now based in the UK and has extended her portfolio with IHI, working on a range of global projects in the UK and South Asia. She is passionate about reducing inequities in healthcare and her portfolio currently includes a range of projects where she is actively pursuing opportunities to achieve this through Improvement methods. Minara has extensive experience in designing and implementing interventions that address Quality of Care and is passionate about addressing inequities through these. She is an Improvement Advisor, has a master’s from the University of Sussex in Management of Change and is a qualified Project Management Professional.
