Raihan Sharif

Dr. Raihan Sharif is supporting IHI’s work as a Project Director of ‘Delivering More: Model Maternal Spaces’ in Bangladesh, Ethiopia and Kenya funded by Gates Foundation to increase adoption, replication, and scale up the integration of Delivering More Toolkit and MNH space considerations as a driver for improvements in QoC into national plans and global health policy guidelines. Previously, he worked as QI Implementation Advisor in USAID’s MaMoni MNCSP and supported scale up and implementation of MNHQI bundle through 232 facilities of MOH&FW and managed 1600 improvement project collaboratives in 13 districts of Bangladesh. He has worked more than 10 years in Health sector. Prior to joining IHI Dr. Raihan served in various roles including Divisional QI Coordinator in Save The Children to support Quality Improvement Secretariat of MOH&FW; District Focal to support national immunization program (EPI) and disease surveillance in WHO-Bangladesh; Program Manager (Health) in Urban Development Program and Health Nutrition & Population Program in BRAC. He has completed MBBS, MPH, various professional development programs including ‘Improvement Coach’ in IHI and ‘Bangladesh Flagship Course on Health System Strengthening and Universal Health Coverage’. He practiced as a clinical doctor for two years before starting his career as a Public Health professional.
