Medical Director, Region Östergötland; Sweden

Karl Landergren is the Medical director of the Östergötland region in Sweden and in that role responsible for support systems for Patient safety and Quality. Karl trained at Lund university in Sweden and is a specialist in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. Karl has many years of professional experience in management and improvement and has been active in establishing the Swedish system for knowledge-based healthcare since 2014 and also serves as an advisor to the national support function of the system.
