Format: Workshop
Content filters: Co-presented with patients, service users or carers; Recommended for those new to quality improvement; Recommended for those working at system level in QI
Chair: Katrine Kirk Danish Society for Patient Safety (Denmark)
In this session we will explore examples of co-production from around the world. With more and more calls for healthcare to be co-produced we will explore some good examples of how to involve people with lived experience. Speakers will also discuss any challenges they faced and how these were overcome. These examples provide a diverse look at co-production in different settings and environments. You will be able to hear from the patients involved on why they got involved and the impact their involvement had.
During a discussion with all speakers you will also have the opportunity to get advice on work you are co-producing or getting tips on how to get started. We will also discuss similarities and differences in approaches or things to consider based upon the context patients are in.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Hear and be inspired by examples of co-production from around the world
- Identify potential challenges in co-production and how to overcome these
