Jamie is a Public Health registrar based in London and co-founder of the Aspiring Leaders in Healthcare Network. Jamie trained as a medical doctor before entering public health specialist training and has developed a passion for health system improvement and leadership development. He is currently based within Imperial College London’s School of Public Health. In his role as a National Medical Director’s Clinical Fellow 2022/2023, Jamie served as an Honorary Deputy Chair of the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management’s (FMLM) Trainee Steering Group, established an additional Medical Student Group to advocate for leadership development opportunities for early career medical professionals, and led the development of FMLM’s Aspiring Leaders in Healthcare podcast. Jamie also services as the Chair of the Next Generation Advisory Panel at BMJ/IHI’s European International Forum for Quality and Safety in Healthcare. He believes that empowering future generations of patients and healthcare professionals is vital, and that only through multi-generational collaboration can we begin to address the challenges facing health systems across the globe.
