Highlighting how personalised online education has driven measurable improvements in knowledge and confidence across a range of healthcare topics. Data segmented by profession and geography will reveal trends and opportunities to address diverse learning needs. The session will also share survey findings on healthcare professionals’ perspectives, inviting attendees to reflect on their experiences and expectations.

PART TWO: AI-Powered Tools for Transformative Learning Experiences

Focusing on the future of medical education, we’ll showcase an AI-powered virtual patient tool created through the collaboration between BMJ OnExam and SimConverse. This tool uses advanced natural language processing and expert-designed rubrics to provide personalized, actionable feedback, helping users prepare for OSCE exams and improve clinical and communication skills. Participants will engage with examples of these innovative tools, exploring their potential to revolutionise training and support continuous professional development.

Join us to explore the intersection of education and technology, share insights, and discuss practical ways to leverage these tools in improving healthcare outcomes.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Analyse real-world impact: review data from BMJ Learning that demonstrates how personalised online learning improves knowledge and confidence among healthcare professionals across various topics, geographies, and professions

  • Engage with innovation: participate in an interactive exploration of AI-powered virtual patient tools, showcasing their potential for transforming OSCE exam preparation and clinical skills development

  • Understand personalised feedback: examine how editorially designed rubrics drive actionable and specific feedback in AI-powered learning, enhancing user performance and confidence
