Head of Content at BMJ Careers, Learning and OnExam; England

Nigel is the head of content for learning and careers at BMJ Group. During his 20-year career in health journalism and medical editing, he has established a track record of leading editorial teams that produce ground-breaking investigative journalism, courageous editorial campaigns and quality-first digital content designed for specialist audiences. Nigel has received many awards, including twice being selected as Editor of the Year by the British Society of Magazine Editors. He chaired the Medical Journalists’ Association from 2021-23 and was named one of the UK’s most respected journalists by the National Council for the Training of Journalists in 2018. He has a MSc in Science Communication from Imperial College London and a BSc in Physiology from University College London.
