Simon is a Senior Consultant (Leadership and Organisation Development) at The King’s Fund, a health and care think tank based in London, UK. He has a PhD in cultural anthropology (University of Central Lancashire) and an MA in nationalism and identity (University College London) and has published and taught on the anthropology and sociology of mental health at several UK universities.
Simon has worked in a variety of client/patient facing and leadership roles in children and young people’s mental health services and public health. Most recently, he was Chief Executive of the award-winning youth mental health charity, Off the Record (Bristol), for nine years. Simon is an experienced facilitator and coach who uses participatory social research and ethnography to bring the lived experience of the health and care workforce to life.
