Catharina is senior researcher Nursing practice: organisation and development at the faculty Erasmus School of Health Policy and Management at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her research focusses on sustainable organizing nursing teams, particularly on nurses’ work environment, nurse staffing and nurses’ leadership. She was trained as a nurse and studied nursing science. Catharina is also board member at the Dutch professional nursing organisation (V&VN) and the branch organization for Dutch teaching hospitals (STZ), and is supervisory director in two nursing homes.
