Harris brings over 15 years’ experience of programme leadership and organisational development, supporting clients in public services to make transformational change happen on the ground.


He leads The PSC’s work on national inpatient mental health quality transformation, in collaboration with Virginia Mason Institute and co-produced with a range of partners including lived experience practitioners. This work has reached over 100 ward teams across England to date. Harris was privileged to coach the team at Forest Lodge who are presenting in this workshop session.


Other project highlights of Harris’ time at The PSC include:



  • Empowering over 20 teams across a large mental health provider to scale up initiatives achieving reductions in patients’ lengths of stay on psychiatric wards, and reducing inappropriate out-of-area placements from 34 to zero in the space of 4 months

  • Supporting the roll-out of NHS 111 First in 19 multi-organisation health systems across South East England

  • Equipping a large community healthcare provider to establish an innovative approach for managing patient waiting times – which was recognised as a national award finalist

  • Working with an acute healthcare provider to boost the number of patients being treated in same day emergency care by over 50%


Harris holds an MBA and is a qualified coach. In his spare time, he is the Chair of Governors at a special educational needs school.
