Didi Wittekoek-Landman is a dentist and co-owner of Tandheelkundig Centrum Terbregge. For over 20 years, she has been dedicated to dental care, both in her own practice and through emergency care and social projects. As a “street dentist,” she provides weekly dental care to homeless individuals at Spoedpost 365 in the Erasmus Medical Center (EMC).

In addition to her work in the practice, Wittekoek-Landman is a member of the advisory board at Fresh Tandartsen and the Nederlandsch Tandheelkundig Genootschap. She also served for 12 years on the board of the Rotterdam Dentists’ Association. Her passion lies not only in treating patients but also in improving oral health on a broader level. Through her involvement with various organizations, she contributes to innovation and accessibility in dental care. Dentist Didi Wittekoek-Landman grew up in South Africa. During her dental studies there, she witnessed significant dental distress. She has lived in the Netherlands since 1999.

Upon arriving in Rotterdam, she realized that there was also a great need for dental care in the city. This led to the founding of “Straattandarts 010” over ten years ago. She also established the Dental Care for Homeless People Foundation, aiming to facilitate and finance dental care and other forms of oral healthcare for those in need. “Whoever shares a smile becomes a richer person,” says Didi Wittekoek. In May 2025, her first book, Straattandarts 010 (Straattandarts 010 – Stichting ‘Dental Care for the Homeless’ in Rotterdam) will be published. Along with her sister-in-law, cardiologist Janneke Wittekoek, Didi hosts the podcast Wittekoek & Wittekoek, which discusses the importance of overall and oral health. Didi studied at Stellenbosch University and Newcastle High School. She is married and has three children. In her free time, she enjoys running and has completed multiple marathons worldwide. In 2025, she will participate in The Roparun for the 15th time with her team, The Dental Runners.
