The International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare is one of the world’s largest conferences for healthcare professionals committed to improving patient care and safety. In May 2018 we travel to Amsterdam, The Netherlands (Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre).

In May 2018 the International Forum returns to Amsterdam, Netherlands, to provide an inspirational setting to meet, learn and share knowledge in our common mission to improve the quality and safety of care for patients and communities across the world.
In Amsterdam our focus will be on how we can overcome a tide of challenges, restrictions and bureaucracy that prevent us being able to make meaningful change and discover how we can reclaim the quality in healthcare by making the best use of available resources, promoting innovation and working together to provide exceptional patient care.

Highlights from London 2017
In London we focused on how the power of collaboration can inspire all parties, including patients, families, new healthcare professionals and improvement leaders to deliver top quality, person-centred care in a sustainable framework. Themed Igniting Collective Excellence, the programme also discussed preventing burnout among physicians in order to ensure patient safety, empowering both healthcare professionals and patients for achieving better outcomes and collaboration within healthcare professional teams and as part of a patient-professional partnerships.

Our first Conference Proceedings contains work submitted to us via our Call for Posters for this year’s International Forum in London, UK, which took place on 26-28 April 2017.
The 180+ abstracts volunteered by authors for inclusion in this booklet is a reflection and a celebration of what the global quality improvement community has achieved over the past few years. You can find many projects from teams in countries such as UK, Singapore, Sweden, Australia, Nigeria, Brazil and more.
International Forum Melbourne 2018, 10-12 September 2018
In September 2018 we travel for the first time to Melbourne, Australia (Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre). Our fourth International Forum in Asia Pacific will showcase internationally recognised keynotes and address regional needs, bringing the best of international learning to the region.
