Damara Gutnick, MD is the medical director of the Montefiore Hudson Valley Collaborative (MHVC), an Associate Professor of Epidemiology & Population Health, Family & Social Medicine and Psychiatry & Behavioural Health at Albert Einstein School of Medicine. Dr. Gutnick is a founding member of the Centre for Collaboration, Motivation and Innovation. An internist by training, Dr. Gutnick is passionate about providing culturally competent, quality, patient-centered care. As an improvement coach she also led behavioural health integration and self-management support initiatives for NYC’s Health and Hospitals Corporation. In her current role as the MHVC medical director she guides system and practice transformation across the Hudson Valley for the Delivery System Redesign Incentive Program (DSRIP) supporting transition to value-based payment. She is also a trainer of Motivational Interviewing, a member of MINT (The Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers) and a certified ProsciTM Change Management Practitioner.
