Lara Ritchie is the improvement programme manager for the improvement team.

Lara’s career has been predominantly nursing roles within the field of emergency medicine, with a strong element of clinical practice and leadership.

Lara’s clinical career has spanned over 20 years working in emergency departments across London. Lara has been part of the improvement team at Imperial since its inception and has been involved in local, pathway, and strategic change by coaching and leading others to adopt the IHI improvement methodology to focus their change ideas, understand the impact of rapid tests of change and use data and patient stories to measure the improvement success.

Lara was appointed as the improvement programme manager in January 2020 and has had the opportunity to develop the strategic aim for improvement, lead the team to strive to build an organisation which embraces a learning and improvement culture.
