Chief Nurse Officer, CNO; Sweden

Charlotta George, Chief Nurse Officer, CNO, Sweden, The National Board of Health and Welfare safeguards health, welfare and equal access to good health care and social care. We work to ensure good health and social care through guidance by rules, knowledge and government grants, and through follow-up and evaluation. As subject specialist in Patient Safety, Charlotta leads and coordinates the agency’s work with Patient Safety and she is the contact point towards the Swedish government, other national and international agencies and organizations. Since 2015, she also has the role as the Government Chief Nurse Officer (CNO) and represent Sweden in nursing and midwifery issues at a national, European and Global level. In that role Charlotta, often meet other countries CNO´s and participate in meetings with the European commission and the World Health Organization (WHO) on a regular basis.
