In partnership with the NHS, join this interactive session where we will take you on a journey using Quality Improvement with a health equity lens to learn how to drive improvements in health outcomes for populations facing systemic challenges by utilising Driver Diagrams, 3 Part Data Review, and Coaching. You’ll hear from guest speakers on three IHI/NHS England equity initiatives that cover the continuum of care from pre-natal to adult. This session will demonstrate how QI principles can be used to develop capability among place-based teams throughout England as part of the drive towards reducing the equity gap and integrating health and care as recommended in the Fuller report of 2022.
Objectives: After this session participants will be able to…
- Apply QI principles to address equity gaps (developing capability)
- Learn how to work across multiple systems to overcome common obstacles, including data collection for equity work (integration)
- Apply an equity lens in addressing patient needs (equity and patient needs)
- Understand the importance of coaching as part of the improvement journey
