Jean McQueen

Dr Jean McQueen is an occupational therapist and following 15 years of clinical work, was commissioned to write a review for Scottish government on forensic mental health. This led to a career engaged in research, education and quality improvement. She is principal educator for NHS Education Scotland leading training and research on patient and family engagement putting patients and family at the heart of patient safety. Jean has published extensively in peer reviewed journals. Her most recent research paper ‘What matters to patients and families in adverse event reviews’ bmj open is currently in the top 95% for altimetric research impact.
