E1: Keynote address: How tech can help advance women’s health globally
– Anna Cecilia Frellsen

Wednesday 17 May | 13:15-14:30

The keynote session will build upon Maternity Foundation’s experience in scaling up the Safe Delivery App globally, having reached more than 390,000 healthcare workers across more than 40 countries and helped ensure millions of safer births since 2015.

The three learning outcomes of this session are:

  • See examples of how technology can be a vital tool in improving healthcare services in poor and fragile settings for pregnant and labouring women

  • Get insights into how a digital solution can be scaled in an efficient and sustainable manner across countries

  • Stimulate thoughts on the way forward. What is needed to close the gap in maternal healthcare services worldwide? How do we improve the quality of maternal healthcare for all women and accelerate progress to meet the global SDG target for reducing maternal deaths by 2030?
