The launch of the paper ‘Chronic diseases and multimorbidity in Denmark’ highlights the increasing challenge of multimorbidity, and how health equity can play an important role in addressing this challenge by focusing on social determinants of health, ensuring access to quality healthcare, promoting patient-centered care, and addressing disparities in healthcare. This session will provide concrete examples from Professor Anne Frølich, Head of Knowledge Centre for Multimorbidity, Slagelse Hospital, Region Zealand and from a regional/hospital perspective with Ricco Dyhr, Hospital Director, Nykøbing Falster Hospital

After this session, participants will:

  • Understand the challenges of multimorbidity and how equity can play a role in addressing these challenges

  • Benefit from examples of how to tackle multimorbidity and inequality from both a research perspective and from a regional perspective

  • Hear different perspectives on challenges and an exchange of good practices from our moderated panel
